Don’t let Otitis Externa stop your dive.

You’ve be planning the trip for months, spent all the money and then can’t go in the water because of otitis externa. This is a common reality for divers when it comes to their liveaboard trips. Water that you cannot drink yet shower in… a recipe for ear problems. Ever missed a dive due to Otitis Externa? Want that peace of mind before going away on a dive trip? Suffer with trapped water post dives? Otinova is for you.

After attending the Go Diving Shows in 2019, 2025 and 2026, it became even clearer how widespread ear issues are in the diving community. Many divers we spoke with shared stories of missed dives and ruined holidays due to ear infections. And it was great to hear how many of these had heard of Otinova and actively use it in their dive routines.

Otinova is made up of aluminium acetate and acetic acid and has antibacterial and antifungal properties. You can not only use Otinova before dives as a preventative, but you can also use it post dive, this is because of its astringent (drying) effect. It will dry up tapped water, eliminating that environment where bacteria can thrive and multiply, ultimately leading to Otitis Externa developing. If Otitis Externa does develop / you are suffering with it, then Otinova can also be used as a treatment.

All these factors make it a great addition to add to your dive bag helping you to not miss any dives due to ear problems.

Otinova is available for purchase on our website, Amazon and available in pharmacies.
